Members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 1,896 residential properties in May through the Board's Multiple Listing Service® system, compared with 1,659 in May 2011, an increase of 14.3%.


May's sales included 364 in the condominium property class, and 1,532 in the residential property class. The condominium property class includes any property, regardless of style (i.e. detached, semi-detached, apartment, stacked etc.), which is registered as a condominium, as well as properties which are co-operatives, life leases and timeshares. The residential property class includes all other residential properties.

Members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) sold 1,396 residential properties in March through the Board's MLS® system, compared with 1,240 in March 2011, an 12.6 per cent increase.  The 5 year sales average for March is 1,276.


March's sales included 277 in the condominium property class, and 1,119 in the residential property class. The five-year average for January sales is 652. Of those sales, 138 were in the condominium property class, while 546 were in the residential property class. Members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 699 residential properties in December through the Board's Multiple Listing Service® system compared with 618 in December 2010, an increase of 13.1 per cent. The five-year average for December sales is 611. The total number of homes sold through the Board's MLS® system in 2011 was 14,412, an increase of 1.7 per cent over 2010. The average price for 2011 was $343,701, an increase of 5.2 per cent over 2010.

Welcome to my inaugural blog post, and thank you for taking the time to visit my site. So you might be thinking, what's with my use of the word "more"? 

 

Well, I decided to use "more" in the marketing of my real estate endeavours for a number of reasons, not the least of which it is part of my last name.  More is a common word in the English language used as an adjective, determiner, pronoun or adverb, however it is much more than a word to me.   I thought long and hard about how to communicate with clients and perspective clients on what makes me different from others out there.
